It was quite a large amount of money to shell out for summer sandals but it was a worthwhile investment. They look beautifully elegant and yet feel sturdy, with a good grip. The footbed is incredibly comfortable and has moulded onto my foot. I suffer from plantar fasciitis but have been able to walk fair distances without being in pain afterwards. They are really perfect for my feet. My question is: why do Sécra not make equally comfortable, elegant shoes rather than concentrating on two models of sandals?

Regarding your question about the styles, we run two businesses, Archies Footwear and Secra, and as such, it's simply been a resource issue. With Archies being quite a large company, it's taken up all of our time. However, you'll be pleased to know we now have dedicated the appropriate resources, and we will have many more styles and colours coming soon. The last thing I'd say is that designing really good products takes a lot of time; we are perfectionists and want to get the best possible products to our customers. True to size. Well made. Disappointing as they are not as comfortable as Archies, feel less supportive and the footbed is harder. A lot of money to pay out but there aren't that many smart arch support sandals on the market so they are better than not having a pair. I would not be able to do much mileage in them compared to Archies, where I could do longer duration walking and rougher terrain. I have a morton's neuroma which is not triggered by Archies, I don't feel as confident in these, therefore only short journeys. I think the footbed is too hard for a Morton's neuroma.

A lot of 'orthopaedic' shoes look so unsightly, but these shoes are just lovely. I have them in beige but I'm going to a black tie wedding soon and wanted a nice, smart sandal to wear that also accommodates my ankle issues.
